Last week Thursday I went down to the Gibson Garage in central London to have a listen to the Rosella’s acoustic set. Having discovered the band a couple of months ago through friends who have listened to them for a while and seen them perform live in their home town of Manchester. I knew that this was a set that I did not want to miss!
I loved the fact that each song on the set list had a variety of clever melodies, hooks and lyrics that really drew me in and they even went on play songs that they have never performed in front of an audience. They were cool calm and collected through out the whole setlist and really had the audience in the palm of their hands. This was due to the feeling and meaning behind the lyrics that really moved me personally and I think others in the audience felt the same.
Being ambitious and being a musician go hand in hand and I believe that they will reach the musical goals they have in mind. They are building a dedicated fan base that show up to their shows religiously across the country from Edinburgh down to Southampton, which is very impressive! In my opinion the only way is up for the band and I wish them all the best for 2025.
