Sally Rooney is an amazing author with lots of books already written and published under her belt. I picked up Beautiful world where are you in a Waterstones in Edinburgh, Scotland while I was helping one of my siblings settle in at University at St Andrews (fancy I know right!)

What appealed to me about the book first of all was the cover, I know I know never judge a book by its cover right. Well I did and I am glad I did. Let me tell you why.

Sally Rooney is known for writing books that are funny and smart and full of character. Each character in the novel has distinct character traits that I either recognise in myself or I have seen in other people that I know.

The novel is about Alice a novelist who meet a man called Felix. Felix is free-spirited and works in a warehouse and has a thirst for adventure. Someone who has definitely caught the travel bug [oh to be on a beach somewhere with a cold drink in my hand]. The book not only revolves around Alice,Felix and Eileen and Simon but goes through the ups and downs of being a young person. Worrying about friendship, the town they live in and other problems we all tend to face in one way or another.
